Knit & Fabric Repair
Don't replace, repair!
About Me
I'm a lifelong knitter adept at assessing and repairing knit and woven fabric. My background is in classical music performace, and I bring a perfectionist's eye to invisble and creative fabric repair.By borrowing threads and patches from the garments themselves, I can invisibly repair or reweave items in most cases. When I can't, I make creative repairs to extend the life of your favorite things! I am based in Cincinnati.

Why Repair?
Instead of replacing something with a rip or a hole, repair lets you keep the favorite garments you already love or that hold special meaning. By bringing new life to your clothes, repair also keeps discarded items out of landfills.I can mend holes, tears, or snags in almost anything woven, knitted, or crocheted, from garments to upholstery. Here are some examples of my work!

Lace jacket repair

Repaired hand knit blanket

Patched knee of houndstooth suit pants

Repaired torn cable edge on knitted blanket

Repaired moth hole in cashmere sweater

Patched wool herringbone coat
What's the process?
If you have an item to be repaired, send me a message via the form below with a description of the needed repair. I'll get back to you with a quote or to request photos, and we will arrange a hand-off.Repairs start at $40 and vary based on size, gauge of fabric, and the nature of the repair. More involved invisible reweaving or patching of fabric starts at $100.Due to the nature of fabric and fibers, some repairs are more do-able than others. If I can't complete an invisible repair, I'll make suggestions to keep the garment wearable.
